Warning: For strong stomachs only.
You go along through life, and you make assumptions. For example, you think you know what the word “vile” means. You think it’s safe to assume that on 9/11/01, even the most myopic and self-centered among us were thinking about our country and the cataclysmic significance of what had just happened.
Then something like this comes along:
xTrump interview on 9/11: "[My building] was the 2nd-tallest in Manhattan... And now it’s the tallest." #NeverForgetpic.twitter.com/47WUsSKLRu
— Ess (@ScottyLiterati) September 11, 2016I really have nothing to add, other than this:
I don’t know anything about the author of the tweet, other than that by this one tweet he has earned having me as a follower.
I hope everyone will go give some love to his original tweet, and let’s get this out there, folks. If there has ever been anything Donald Trump has said or done that encapsulates all the reasons he must not be POTUS, this 23-second interview clip is that thing.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
UPDATE: First, a slight correction — apparently he was talking about specifically lower Manhattan, not Manhattan as a whole.
More importantly — here’s the original 10-minute video that the clip was excerpted from, in case you want more info. A few other things I heard besides his bragging about the size of his . . . building:
Trump was “disappointed” that they closed the stock exchange He had heard there were likely 25,000-30,000 people killed, but he predicted there would be more than that, maybe many more He believed there must have been bombs in addition to the planes, to cause that kind of damage x YouTube VideoUPDATEx2: H/t Catskill Julie — some info to help us get this viral:
If you tweet, include direct press handles, use hashtags for wider distribution, #TrumpTaxReturns #TrumpTaxes #TrumpFoundation #narcissist #Hillary, #ClintonRules, etc. as appropriate, include @realDonaldTrump
